2019: A Year full of Disney

Upcoming Disney & Pixar films in 2019

Walt Disney Productions plans to evoke some nostalgia by bringing back a few classics to the big screen this upcoming year. The Lion King, Toy Story, Aladdin, Avengers, and Frozen are just a list of the few favored Disney movies resurfacing in the 2019 year.

The original Lion King hit the screens back in 1994, where it was a completely animated film, however, the new-fangled version is a live action film airing in Summer of 2019. The plot mimics the same exact storyline of the original and something fascinating about the new film is how Disney can still demonstrate the magic behind the story even if it uses live animals and people. The film will reach a wide variety of teenagers considering the original had been extremely popular in our adolescent years, and what better way to bring back a well-known movie and a more modern twist with characters such as Beyoncé, Donald Glover, and Seth Rogen.

“Some people are worth melting for…” Again? After becoming a huge success back in 2013, Frozen 2 is supposed to air November 22, 2019. Unlike the original, the new version will not follow the same plot, but will contain the same iconic characters such as Olaf, Anna, and Elsa. Even though November 2019 seems far away, Disney is releasing a short film called ‘Olaf’s Frozen Adventure,’ which will be showcased in front of a Pixar movie also being released next year.

One of the most popular movie series of all times, Marvel’s The Avengers will also be hitting the theatres early next year. The creators have yet to come up with a more extraordinary title for the second movie in the sequel Age of Ultron after their last one was named ‘Avengers: Infinity War.’ A lot of fans are curious to what this movie will have in store for us especially after the last one ending in a twist. Well hold tight, Marvel has released the official movie date of May 3, 2019, where the movie will be offered in both IMAX and 3D features. This movie will reach even larger audiences as the first part in this sequel broke box office records and contained stars such as Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, and more.

And finally both Aladdin and Toy Story 4 are set out to hit the big screen early summer of 2019. Aladdin is going to be musically based and a live action film. Toy Story 4 will continue on the cartoon sequel and the main plot will allow us follow along on a road trip and being in the real world with the toys.

Besides these favorites, there is a multitude of Disney based movies that will follow our childhood beloveds. Walt Disney Productions will have a great success in the upcoming year and will reach broad audiences especially after recreating some of the greatest Disney movies of all time and containing iconic stars many fans look up to. Fanatics are excited for what WD Productions has in store for us.
