Coming Soon to a Pumpkin Patch Near You

It's the time of the year that everything fall is back! Pumpkin patches are a wonderful way to celebrate the fall season. Luckily, there are many nearby near where you can get that fall feeling!

Hunsader Farms, 5500 County Road 675 in Bradenton, is celebrating their 30th annual pumpkin festival. The festival has fun activities for all ages including a produce market, ice-cream shop, petting zoo, antique farm, live music, craft show, hayrides, corn maze, and more! Hunsader’s farm allows friendly dogs, if they leashed and has hand sanitizer stations to combat the spread of Covid 19.

At 7410 Fruitville Road in Sarasota is Fruitville Grove. This farm market also includes a wildflower maze, crafting activity, live music, hayrides, hug-a goat, butterfly garden, hold a pig, horse carriage rides, hold a skunk, food truck rally, and many more activities throughout the day.

Dave's Pumpkin Patch is also nearby. At Dave's there is a hay pyramid, a hay maze, corn maze, hayrides, food truck options, and more. Dave's is located at 106 East Lumsden Rd in Brandon.

Teagan King '23 says, “I love going to pumpkin patches with my friends and picking out the perfect pumpkin.” She also mentions that going to a pumpkin patch gives her that fall feeling even though Florida doesn't get to see or feel the nice weather .

Another student, Elana Simones '25 says, “My favorite thing to do at a pumpkin patch is to explore around the patch and pick the absolute perfect pumpkin, and If I go with friends, we love taking pictures and just having fun.”

There are nearby pumpkin patches no matter what you enjoy! All the Florida pumpkin patches have enjoyable activities and tasty foods to love.
