Known for his role as a host in various television programs on the Food Network, Guy Fieri has opened a restaurant in UTC in Sarasota, FL, all the while abiding by Covid-19 guidelines.

Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Kitchen is in University Town Center in Brio Italian Grille and offers some of his famous meals and desserts. The menu features Cajun Chicken Alfredo, Jalapeño Pig Poppers, burgers with Fieri’s famous “Donkey Sauce,” cheesecake, and so much more.

“I can’t wait to try out Guy Fieri’s new food restaurant, knowing that he’s an amazing chef!” Ana Anthou ’23 said.

Interestingly enough, Fieri’s Flavortown Kitchen will abide by Covid-19 guidelines through a new delivery-only food service. This idea has been floating around for some time now, but it recently came to life as Fieri decided this was a great way to kick off the start of his new restaurant. Partnered with Virtual Dining Concepts, Flavortown Kitchen will have extra kitchen space to make delivery meals in no time. Thanks to Fieri, this new restaurant will be open for delivery from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and will definitely have some delicious food options.

One show that Fieri hosts is none other than Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The show is one of his most popular shows, as it has 33 seasons and is still continuing today. The show follows Fieri as he visits all types of restaurants, bars, dives, and food trucks. These establishments all share their secret tips and tricks to some of their most popular dishes, as they show Fieri how to cook them.

“This new delivery restaurant sounds really good. I’ve never tried Guy Fieri’s food and am excited I will finally be able to!” said Leah McFadden ’23.

Fieri is widely known for his amazing skills in the kitchen and has a great reputation when it comes to delicious meals. Guy Fieri surely has a recognizable name as he maintains a high ranking as a well-known chef. Residents of Sarasota cannot wait to try out Flavortown Kitchen and look forward to all that it holds.
