Super Bowl LV is approaching and is taking place at Raymond James Stadium as the Kansas City Chiefs will be facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. on CBS.
Why is the Super Bowl taking place at Raymond James Stadium a big deal? Simply, The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the first NFL team in history to play a Super Bowl on their home field.
The Buccaneers faced star quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in Wisconsin on Jan. 24 and won by a score of 31-26.
Quarterback Tom Brady of the Buccaneers has defied critics since the start of the season. While facing criticism in his last game for throwing three interceptions, no one can deny his talent as he has the most Super Bowl wins in NFL History with six.
Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs battled the Buffalo Bills on Jan. 24 and won by a score of 38-24.
This was not shocking to most, however, leading up to the game, the status of Patrick Mahomes playing was unclear because he suffered a concussion and toe injury during the Cleveland Browns game.
After passing all the necessary protocols all week, Mahomes was listed active and once again had a stellar performance.
This weekend will have one of the greatest quarterback matchups in history as 25-year-old Mahomes will face 43-year-old Brady, in a tough competition.
For those that are not into football, the Super Bowl Halftime Show performer is singer, The Weeknd. Also, during pregame, singer Miley Cyrus will be performing on Tik Tok.
Football fans should be sure to make safe decisions this Super Bowl weekend by limiting gatherings, wearing masks and of course having fun.
Don’t forget to tune in to the Super Bowl on CBS this Sunday at 6:30 p.m., as the Buccaneers could continue to make history.
