Rams Look to Rebound Before Playoffs

The Rams battle tonight vs the Charlotte Tarpons in their final regular season game of the year. No matter tonight's outcome, the Rams play postseason despite their loss to district champions Venice High last week 42-7.

In that game, the Rams tied the game with 28 secs left in the first half, gaining momentum going into the second half. However Daramaion Escorts 280 yards rushing was too much to overcome in half number two.

Riverview was not expecting that type of game plan, as Venice was pass heavy in other games. This week's Tarpons, however, love to keep the ball moving on the ground. Led by senior RB Troi McClary, who has three games with over 100 rushing yards, the Tarpons offense has gained over 1,700 yards on the ground while just 419 on the air.

Despite the struggles in the outing vs Venice, stopping the run has been a strong point for the Rams, and they would like to get back on track. On the offensive side, the Rams went into the Venice game putting up 35 points in three straight games. They went cold, only grabbing one touchdown to tie the game up late in the 1st half.

The Rams look to get back on track and bring back the offensive fireworks that we have seen most of the year. After a week one blowout vs the Seminoles, the Rams were able to bounce back and win 7 games straight. Tonight expect the Rams to pull out a close one on the road in their regular season finale.

Prediction: Rams 20 Tarpons 17
