Everything you need to know about Riverview’s honor societies

With all the preparations for next year, the rising upperclassmen have been busy signing
up for the numerous honor societies offered at Riverview.
Applications for Spanish National Honor Society (Sociedad Hispanica Honoria), Science
National Honor Society, German National Honor Society, and National Honor Society have
closed, and new members for next year have been inducted or will be by the end of the year.
Mu Alpha Theta, the Math Honor Society, is only for rising seniors, and applications
have already closed.
To be eligible for membership in an honor society, you must be a rising junior or senior,
be in good grade standing (GPA varies per honor society, but strive for 3.0 or higher), and not
have any disciplinary actions from school on your record.
Officer positions are only offered to rising seniors and are elected for the following year
at the end of their junior year.
Most honor societies are operating online, and different times than usual so please
contact the teacher sponsor for any questions.
