Astroworld has arrived in Florida

Famous rapper Travis Scott has just begun leg two of his ‘Astroworld - WISH YOU WERE HERE’ tour at the end of January. It is Scott’s third concert tour in support of his third studio album Astroworld. He kicked off the tour on Nov. 8, in Baltimore at the Royal Farms Arena, just a few days before he was supposed to perform at Amelie Arena in Tampa.

Unfortunately, Scott postponed the Tampa show just hours before the concert was supposed to take place on Monday night, after safety and technical issues with a rollercoaster prop he was insistent on having in his set occurred.

“I was so mad when he cancelled the concert because it was so last minute and my friends and I had been waiting for this concert,” Lauren Sutter ’20 said.

In addition to Sutter, plenty of other fans were upset about Scott cancelling his Tampa show the day of and were worried he was not going to reschedule. Following the cancellation of the Tampa show, shows in Hartford, Cleveland and Milwaukee were also postponed for similar technical issues with the rollercoaster prop. The Tuesday after, Travis tweeted “I’m sorry. I tried everything, but I had to give you guys the best show. I’m coming back there, not cancelled, just moved to a later date. I’m gonna make it one of the illest experiences.

“I’m really looking forward to a baller show because I know he won’t disappoint,” Sutter said.

About a month later, fans were excited to see that Travis had announced his rescheduled tour dates that will occur on St. Patrick’s Day, and all the other tour dates have been rescheduled on the leg two of the tour, too.
