Phase Four, Series Two: Falcon and the Winter Solider

Emily Lepow ‘23

With the amazing start of the fourth phase of Marvel beginning with WandaVision, many Avenger fans anticipate what will happen next in the show Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

WandaVision, for those have not yet watched it, show Wanda Maximoff’s perspective of after the movie Avengers: Endgame when Vision was killed by Thanos.

The shows encapsulates the love Wanda had for Vision, but many fear her powers are becoming too strong.

The next new show, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, showcases after Captain America comes back from putting the Infinity stones back into their respective timelines and must pass on his legacy.

Steve Rodgers initially gives his shield to Sam, the Falcon, but with Cap’s lifelong best friend Bucky Barnes in the picture, the transition to the new Captain America is not as simple as we think.

With the new episode “New World Order” coming out the Friday over Spring Break, many fans have already begun generating theories about the series.

Avengers enthusiast Anna Fortenberry ‘23 predicts that Bucky and Sam will join together to fight the hooded figure from episode one.

“Along the way, they will find Sharon for back up,” she said.

She also hypothesizes, that they will track down that French guy from the beginning of the episode, because he “possibly might know something about the hooded guy.”

Previously shown in past Avengers movies, Sharon was Steve Rodgers’ love interest and niece of Peggy Carter, another previous love interest of his from the 1940’s.

Many fans, including Fortenberry, conclude that Sharon will be reintroduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) with Bucky and Sam.
